Simple Recipe for a Happy Life

Follow these steps to train your brain to be positive:

  1. When you wake up in the morning, complete the following statement: “My purpose today is to ____________. I am thankful for ____________.”
  2. Try to make at least one person smile each day.
  3. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, issues of the past, negative thoughts, or things you can’t control. Instead, invest your energy in the positive present moment. Remember the serenity prayer!
  4. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
  5. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
  6. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present
  7. Don’t compare your life with others. You have no idea what they journey is all about.
  8. No one is in charge of your happiness except YOU.
  9. Forgive everyone for everything.
  10. GOD heals everything—but you have to ask Him!
  11. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
  12. Envy is a waste of time.
  13. When you are feeling down, start listing your blessings. You’ll be smiling before you know it.
  14. Each night before you go to bed, complete the following statements. “I am thankful for ___________. Today I accomplished _____________.”
